CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have apprehended a man who attempted to rob a woman of her cell phone in the Target store parking lot on Monday morning.
Cheltenham Police responded at 9:35 a.m. to the parking lot where the man allegedly punched the victim and threatened to shoot her in the face.
The victim refused to give up her phone and the suspect fled empty-handed in a vehicle, police said.
Police quickly arrived and broadcast 'flash' information out to other responding units, including the description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.
A police officer spotted the vehicle and detained the driver.
The unnamed man was charged with robbery, simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment.
He was arraigned on Monday afternoon.
