ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A former Pennsylvania State Trooper, who served for 25 years, has joined the Abington School District as a school police officer.
Mark Dooling was approved at the Abington School Board's Sept. 15 meeting to serve as a school police officer.
School officials said that while Dooling will serve in this capacity primarily at the elementary level, he will also engage in safety and security efforts across the district.
Dooling served for 25 years as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, 15 of which were spent as a supervising corporal.
