EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — October has arrived, bringing the feeling of fall into full swing now as festivals this weekend celebrate pumpkins, scarecrows, and Halloween.
While the weekend may feature summer-like temperatures, events in eastern Montgomery County and the Philadelphia region capture the spirit of the season.
This is a summary of some of the events planned for this weekend in eastern Montgomery County and the Philadelphia region:
Jenkintown will hold a Monarch Butterfly Celebration and Sustainability Fair in the Town Square from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be a butterfly presentation at 12:30 p.m., followed by a butterfly tag & release (conditions permitting). Members from Bird Town PA, Back to Earth Compost Crew, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, and others will be on hand.
