Back To School Fun Coming To Willow Grove Park Mall Next Month

WILLOW GROVE, PA — August is upon us, and that means it's nearly time to get the kids back to school.

And this summer, the Will Grove Park Mall is hosting special back to school events.

PREIT, the mall's owner, is hosting family-friendly activities and entertainment.

Millions of families in the U.S. struggle to access nutritious food, and most affected are children.

To help ensure all families have access to healthy food in and after school, this school year, PREIT is focusing its efforts on Fuel For School.

The Willow Grove Park Mall will be asking for monetary and food donations in collaboration with local food banks and organizations during the back-to-school events.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming back the school year as the summer season starts to wind down, and what better way to celebrate than with the collaboration of our local partners," Lisa Pellicciotta, Vice President of Marketing at PREIT, said. "This year, we’re proud to support nutrition for all children with our Fuel For School campaign. We welcome the Philadelphia community to join in the fun with great food, live music, and activities for all ages."

Willow Grove Park Mall will host its back to school activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 in the Macy's Court.

Attendees will see Chase, Skye, and Marshall from "PAW Patrol," enjoy music by DJ Greg Curran, take photos at the balloon shimmer wall photo backdrop, make pencil cases at a craft station, see balloon twisting by Moments By Max, and get kids' tattoos.

Additionally, guests are encouraged to stop by the Jenkintown Food Cupboard to make a monetary or food donation.

Those who make a donation can enter for a chance to win a backpack stuffed with school supplies and more.

The Willow Grove Park Mall is located at 2500 W. Moreland Road in Willow Grove.
