Bank Robbed In Abington, 2 In Custody After Chase and Crash: Police
The two suspects crashed into a police vehicle after fleeing a traffic stop following the bank robbery, Abington Township Police said
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — An Abington Township bank was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday and two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the incident after crashing into a police vehicle, authorities said.
According to Abington Township Police, police were called to a bank on the 1300 block of Old York Road for a report of an armed robbery at about 3:27 p.m. Tuesday.
Responding offices were given descriptions of two men and the vehicle they were driving in, and found the vehicle in the area of Meetinghouse Road at Fox Chase Road.

Police tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspects continued driving, causing several minor accidents before colliding with an Abington Police vehicle at Meetinghouse and Jenkintown roads.
The two suspects tried to run off but were apprehended by officers.

Police found money stolen from the bank and a handgun near where one of the suspects was taken into custody, authorities said.
