Blood Drive Honors Abington 7-Year-Old Who Nearly Drowned

Ally Turner, 7, was found unresponsive underwater in her bath after she slipped and fell. Friday's blood drive is in her honor.

A blood drive will be held Friday in Warminster for an Abington girl who suffered a brain injury following a fall.

Ally Turner, 7, was found unresponsive underwater in her bath after she slipped and fell in December, her family said.

Her parents gave her CPR and she miraculously survived. However, she spent several months receiving medical care and undergoing rehabilitation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, during which she required numerous blood transfusions, The Intelligencer reported.
