Yep, the car with flashers sitting on the side of Highland near Abington Junior High this evening was mine. I can't help myself.
So what is this fellow? If it's a red-tailed hawk, I need some new bird books. It doesn't look like anything there.
Unfortunately, I couldn't wait around to see it in flight or hear its call. The size was generous - certainly the 18 inches that would match the red-tail. Maybe larger.
