School Safety and Safety in General

Foremost on all our minds is the tragedy in Newtown CT.  This is a time to pull together for tighter gun control coupled with better treatment for those with mental illness.  We are all at risk with both at this point. As serious as the devistation was in Connecticut, I hope everyone realizes that it could have been even worse.  As a Realtor I am well aware that there are pre-existing deed restrictions in most townships prohibiting the slaughtering of animals, rendering of fat or making of candles on residential property...I think we have to remember that the Right To Bear Arms (at the time of inception) meant muskets and pistols...and not assault weapons.  The real threat of "weapons of mass destruction" is right here in our communities with the added element of mental illness.. This is a wake up call for all.
