Capricorn Books Temporarily Closed After Jenkintown Fire

A fire on Monday morning at an apartment above the West Avenue bookstore will impact operations over the next few days.

JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A fire has closed several businesses for the near future on West Avenue on Monday morning.

Capricorn Books said that there was a fire in an apartment above its bookstore on Monday.

Owners said they were thankful for First Responders who were able to evacuate apartment dwellers safely.

The owners, who were trying to see their shop, said authorities told them that the bookstore was not damaged.

They said that utilities have been turned off for the next two days, which will have the bookstore closed until further notice.
