Car Crashes Into Bank Building In Abington: Report

A multi-vehicle crash happened on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Old York and Susquehanna roads, a report states.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in which one car slammed into the wall of a bank, according to a report.

The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Old York and Susquehanna roads, not far from Jefferson Abington Hospital, Action News 6 reported.

The news agency reported that at least three vehicles were damaged in the crash, with one striking the brick wall of a Wells Fargo Bank on the corner.

The Abington Township Police Department said Susquehanna Road at Old York Road is closed to traffic in both directions, and that Old York Road is restricted to one northbound lane only.

Closures are expected to remain in place for several hours, police said. Please avoid the area and use an alternative route.
