Center School students: The America I Believe In

Center School middle schoolers participated in a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) sponsored writing contest called Patriot’s Pen, a nationwide contest hosted each year with over 100,000 participants. This youth essay competition is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, and gives students an opportunity to write essays that express their views on an annual theme. The prompt this year was "The America I Believe In". All 30 middle school students participated and submitted their entries to the VFW of Willow Grove. All of that hard work paid off. Today, two members of the VFW of Willow Grove distributed certificates to all participants and awards to the top three winners. We are proud of all of our participants!

Center School is a K-8 school located in Abington and has over 28 years of success in educating students with learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, auditory processing disorder, and executive function disorder. Center School’s mission is to provide children who learn differently with a personalized education to realize their potential and reshape the way they view themselves and their future.
