Chasing a Dream 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk – September 12 – 8:30am

Join us for an awesome 5k run or 1 mile walk through the beautiful trails of The Wissahickon Park. The run/walk benefits The Ivy Legacy Foundation (TILF), which is the charitable arm of the Rho Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Based on the statistics on obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, AKA has an international initiative to promote health and wellness in communities. Therefore, TILF seeks to bring the love of running/walking to enthusiasts as well as beginners. TILF will host a day of family fun and fitness. Walkers and Runners at all levels are welcome to enjoy a new Philly 5K and 1 Mile Walk. Finisher medals to all 5k runners. T-shirts to all participants. Amenities include post-race refreshments, water stations, medical tent, prizes, etc. Cost: 5k run - $30 pre-registered, $35 race day. Children 5k - $20 pre-registered, $25 race day. 1 mile walk - $15 pre-registered, $20 race day.
