Cheltenham School District Bans Employee After Police Inquiry
Cheltenham Police attempted to serve a Protection From Abuse order at Cheltenham High School on Wednesday.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Cheltenham High School contract employee has been banned from all school facilities following a police inquiry on Wednesday.
The Cheltenham Township Police Department went to the high school on Wednesday to serve a court-issued Protection From Abuse order listing the school employee as the defendant.
The PFA and arrest warrant were both issued by a judge in the City of Philadelphia.

Cheltenham Police also discovered that the employee had an outstanding warrant for their arrest for a violent felony, stemming from the same incident that gave rise to the PFA.
Police asked school officials about the employee's work status and were told the employee was not at work on Wednesday.

School remained secure throughout this interaction, and normal daily operations continued without interruption. At no point was there any threat to the safety of our students or faculty, Scriven said.
