Coach Bag Bingo Benefits Local Cancer Patients
Ladies' Night Out Supporting The Breathing Room Foundation

Abington— 11.03.15 — On Friday, October 23rd, the hall at Our Lady Help of Christians in Abington was filled with close to 300 women, all anxious to win a Coach handbag. Coach Bag Bingo, which is quickly becoming one of the hottest fundraisers, was being held to benefit The Breathing Room Foundation for families affected by cancer. Along with Bingo, guests joined in to win Raffle baskets, a 50/50, and door prizes. Baked goods and coffee were included in the price of the ticket.
“We are overwhelmed by the turn-out and support for this event and for our organization”, Mary Ellen Fitzgerald, Executive Director of The Breathing Room Foundation, commented. “We will be able to assist so many more families during this holiday season with the funds raised tonight.”
KYM Jewelry designer and owner, Kim McGuckin, generously made a donation to help with the cost of the hall. Kim also contributed bracelets for the raffle prizes. In addition to the guests, two teams of volunteers from Kohl’s Warminster and Doylestown came to help with set-up and to play. The Single Volunteers of Bucks County also donated their time and efforts to assist with the 50/50 and raffles.

The Breathing Room Foundation
The Breathing Room Foundation is best characterized as neighbors helping neighbors impacted by cancer. Established in 1997, the Breathing Room Foundation has grown from supporting seven families the first year to serving 628 new families in 2014. Our mission is to provide care and support to families affected by cancer. We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of a family’s life: emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial. We strive to provide a family with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of “breathing room” from their daily struggle against cancer. It is our hope that this will allow them to concentrate all of their efforts towards regaining their physical health. www.breathingroomfoundation.org
