How deceptive can Washington be? And how damaging is such deceit for our foreign policy? Former Congressman Joseph Hoeffel offers his views on how the Bush White House twisted arms and distorted intelligence to get support for their war. As Iraq now descends into civil war, Hoeffel rejoins the debate with his thoughts on how the war and occupation ruined Iraq and what the US should do now.
“Hoeffel offers readers a personal and researched account of the vote and the events that followed with a focus on the lies and false evidence he says the Bush administration produced about weapons of mass destruction.”
