ABINGTON, PA — The Anti-Defamation League recognized Copper Beech student Jillian Brown for her "No Place for Hate" essay submission in a recent contest, the school district announced.
Brown won Honorable Mention in the league's 2017 contest, and was honored at a VIP breakfast at the Walnut Street Theatre last week.
The essay contest prompt asked students: “Think about a time when you, or someone you know, was excluded or treated badly because of your race, religion or some other reason. Discuss how that made you feel and what you could have done to resolve the situation.”
