Deadly Abington Wendy's Shooting Lands Philly Woman In Prison: Report

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Philadelphia woman will spend at least 11 months in prison after she fatally shot her boyfriend at an Abington Township Wendy's in spring 2022.
Kiaera Briggs, 33, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty in a Montgomery County court to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of Harvey Harris back in May.
The court Tuesday ordered Briggs to serve 11 to 22 months in prison, as well as to perform 50 hours of community service, according to Main Line Media News.

She was also sentenced to three years’ probation consecutive to parole.
Abington Police said the incident occurred at about 8 p.m. outside Wendy's in the Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center.

Briggs was arrested after police were called to the area for a report of a shooting that stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Police found Briggs in possession of a gun.
Harris, 30, was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.
Main Line Media News reports Harris and Briggs got into an altercation outside the restaurant, and that Harris was accused of strangling Briggs.
Video from the scene showed Harris punch Briggs, then Briggs aiming a gun at Harris and firing, striking him once, killing him.
