Disguised Burglary Suspect Targeted Home: Abington Police
A Philadelphia man has been charged with felony burglary and related crimes in connection with a Jan. 17 incident in Huntingdon Valley.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Abington Township said they have arrested a burglary suspect who targeted a home in Huntingdon Valley.
According to police, Daniel Garvin, 48, of Philadelphia, was charged with burglary and related offenses in connection with a Jan. 17 burglary incident.
At about 12:58 p.m. on Jan. 17, police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Foothill Drive in Huntingdon Valley for a residential burglary.

Police said a white man believed to be in a disguise tried to force his way into the home.
A resident in the home slammed the door shut, which caused the man to drop what is believed to have been a gun, police said.

The man picked up the gun and ran off, police said.
Police said they believe the suspect was familiar with the home and targeted the victims.
Garvin is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 21, court records show.
