Easter Egg Hunt, Food Cupboard Party In Jenkintown Saturday

Jenkintown will hold an Easter Egg Hunt and celebrate the food cupboard's 40 years of service to the community.

JENKINTOWN, PA —Easter may be over but that doesn't mean you can't have an Easter Egg Hunt.

The Jenkintown Parks and Recreation Department is holding its Spring Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jenkintown Elementary School playground.

Children under age 4 will start first at 10:15 a.m. followed by other age groups.

Meanwhile, the Jenkintown Food Cupboard is celebrating its 40th year of service with a community party on Saturday as well.

The Jenkintown Food Cupboard has festivities planned from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. throughout Jenkintown Town Square, Leedom Street, and Immaculate Conception's Church Hall.

Free parking will be available in the ICC lot off West Avenue. There will be food and drinks as well as the organization's annual volunteer gift.

Saturday’s forecast suggests a high of 50 degrees with a low chance of rain so come on out and join us for a fun time, organizers said.
