ECO FEST at AFS, May 2

Join us for a day of sustainable fun including a Nature Playdate for kids, a Sustainability Fair and E-cycling, Recycling and Shredding.

NATURE PLAYDATE and NATURE BUILD

10am to noon, ages 3-14

Dozens of activities for all ages! Join us to build forts and fairy houses, create sunprints, natural dyes and insect mazes. Boat building from recycled

materials, creating giant marble mazes, designing musical instruments and a recycled materials art project with the Penn State Art Program round out the fun!

E-CYCLING, SHREDDING and DONATION DRIVE

11am to 2pm: Clean out your home and closets and make a difference! Find a full

donation and drop-off list online at www.abingtonfriends.net

  • Donation Drive: Bring your items for Cradles To Crayons, the PA SPCA and the Crayola Colorcycle Program.
  • Paper Shredding: Shred One mobile shredding trucks will be on-site to securely shred documents for recycling. No need to remove staples and clips.
  • Electronics Recycling: Gigabiter trucks will collect and destroy electronics on-site for future recycling. $20 charge per television, all other acceptable items free.

SUSTAINABILITY FAIR

10am to 1pm

Local organizations and vendors will be on hand to share information about sustainable goods, services and practices. Check out educational activities, informational materials, samples and items for sale! Participants include Creekside Co-op, Briar Bush Nature Center and more!
