Election 2024: How Eastern Montco Voted In Presidential Primary
President Joe Biden will face former President Donald Trump in the November general election. See their voting tallies from last Tuesday.

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —It's the showdown everyone has been talking about.
It's like a "Rocky sequel: Biden against Trump: Round 2.
Now that the formalities of an uncontested primary election are over, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will trade barbs, televise a zillion campaign advertisements, and battle it out in the November general election on who will lead the nation for the next four years.

So how did both candidates fair in last Tuesday's primary election?
In Pennsylvania overall, Biden received 943,539 votes, or 93.17 percent of his Democratic party's nomination, according to unofficial results.

Meanwhile, Trump received 791,003 votes, or 83.38 percent of the Republican party nomination.
Trump's tally was taken away by former candidate Nikki Haley, who remained on the ballot despite pulling out of the presidential race recently. She received 157,713 votes, or 16.62 percent.
While voters could only choose candidates on based on party lines, the tallies Tuesday in Bucks County indicate that Round 2 of Biden-Trump might be pretty tight.
For Montgomery County, Biden garnered 87,322 votes. Trump received 38,201 votes.
Meanwhile, in nearby Bucks County, Biden received 55,750 votes (94.91 percent). Trump received 49,055 votes (80.88 percent).
The state turnout was 29 percent. The state percentage was a significant drop from the 41 percent of people who voted in Pennsylvania during the 202o primary election.
For the 2024 primary in Pennsylvania, Biden received 335,000 fewer votes and Trump received 265,000 fewer votes.

- Abington Township —Biden 7,710, Trump 2,020
- Cheltenham Township —Biden 6,688, Trump 506
- Hatboro Borough —Biden 756, Trump 401
- Horsham Township —Biden 2,119, Trump 1,699
- Jenkintown —Biden 865, Trump 112
- Upper Dublin Township —Biden 3,956, Trump 1,022
