Children's Dental Sealant Program

Montgomery County Community College and the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association will co-sponsor Sealant Saturday: A Children's Dental Sealant Program on Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the MCCC Dental Hygiene Clinic, Science Center, Room 211.

A dental sealant is a clear, preventive coating placed on permanent back teeth in order to prevent dental decay.

During the program, licensed dental hygienists, in consultation with licensed dentists, will provide free oral examinations and sealant placements for children ages 6 to 14. Students from the MCCC dental hygiene program will provide auxiliary support.
