Grass pink, rose pagonia, white fringed orchids…deep in the Pine Barrens of NJ, orchids are blooming! We won’t have to search for these showy and finicky flowers – Russell Juelg, from the New Jersey Conservation Foundation will guide us right to them. During a 1.5 hour walk, we will visit multiple spots along the Batso River as Russell shares the natural history of the various species of orchids and other blooming flowers we find. Note: wear rubber boots or old shoes – the terrain will be uneven and potentially wet. Buy lunch.
