Fine Art Exhibition To Be Held at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown

Heritage Conservancy will transform its historic Aldie Mansion headquarters into a gallery of fine art that celebrates the beauty of Bucks County.

Alan Fetterman, one of Bucks County’s premier plein air impressionist painters, will exhibit more than 20 pieces of his artwork at the mansion during the two-day exhibition. The work includes a series of paintings inspired by Heritage Conservancy preserved properties.

After unveiling a dedicated painting donated specifically to the organization for “The Land We Love: An Alan Fetterman Exhibition” during a private gala, Heritage Conservancy welcomes the community to take part in the continuing celebration the following day.

The public is invited to the free showcase at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown from 1 to 3 PM on Friday, Nov. 21.

As an artist, speaker, and published poet, Alan Fetterman has been creating and exhibiting art for more than 25 years. Fetterman has completed more than 1,000 paintings featured in over 30 solo-shows and has had his work placed in over 100 exhibits worldwide.

Fetterman channels a unique appreciation for nature and knowledge into intuitive forms of collectible art. His paintings that will be shown at “The Land We Love: An Alan Fetterman Exhibition” depict much of the picturesque nature that surrounds us in Bucks County and the Delaware River Valley Region.

A collaboration with Heritage Conservancy was a natural fit for Fetterman. With its commitment to preserving and protecting Bucks County’s natural and historic heritage, the organization’s mission ensures the scenic views in our area that Fetterman is so inspired by are kept intact.

“Our homes and haven are essentially gifts of nature... and it’s an honor for me to create art from the great strengths of our region’s natural beauty,” said Fetterman. “I’m thrilled to exhibit my art in support of Heritage Conservancy.”

Bucks County Views, the gifted painting that will be unveiled during the private opening gala for “The Land We Love: An Alan Fetterman Exhibit,” measures 48” x 54” and depicts a scene of a preserved property in Buckingham Township. After the exhibit, the painting will remain at Aldie Mansion for visitors to admire.

“Artists have the ability to capture the beauty of our landscape. We have found that with Bucks County Views, a picture is worth more than a thousand words to convey why our organization is so passionate about saving our special places,” said Jeffrey Marshall, President of Heritage Conservancy. “The Alan Fetterman painting that Geoffrey and Gretchen Jackson so generously donated to us will hang prominently in our Aldie Mansion headquarters as a symbol of what our organization is committed to protecting.”
