Fire Damages Home In Abington Township
Fire crews responded to a house fire on Buck Hill Drive late Sunday night. Find out the cause below.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire damaged a house on Buck Hill Drive late Sunday night, fire officials said.
Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania said that multiple fire companies responded at 10:18 p.m. Sunday to a house fire at 1626 Buck Hill Dr.
Crews encountered a “house full of smoke” and “fire in the walls,” according to a Facebook post.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire was an extension cord.
The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company’s Engine 8 and Tower 8 assisted McKinley Fire Company’s Station 200, fire officials said.

Other crews on the scene included Squad 200, Quint 200, Engine 4, Engine 8, Engine 9, Squad 11, Ladder 100, Rescue 300, and Air 300.
