FIRSTRUST BANK ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THIRD ANNUAL "PHILLY'S BUSINESS FIRST AWARDS"

Firstrust Bank announced the winners of its third annual Philly’s Business First Awards. The awards were created to shine a spotlight on local businesses making a positive difference in the community as nominated and voted on by the public.

This year’s contest, which garnered more than 7,000 votes from the public, highlighted an impressive group of local small businesses with 652 businesses nominated for their exemplary business values. The three winners – Elbow Lane Day Camp, Evolve IP and McMahon Associates, Inc. – receive a total of $27,000 to share with a charity of their choosing.

“The nominations we received exceeded our expectations,” said Richard J. Green, CEO and Vice Chairman of Firstrust Bank. “The commitment of all the nominees toward community service, honesty and customer service, among many other values, is truly remarkable. This contest further illustrates that small businesses are not only the backbone of the region’s business economy, but are also its community support engine. It is an honor for Firstrust to recognize them and support their continued success.”

Elbow Lane Day Camp of Warrington, PA will share its prize with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project. Wayne-based Evolve IP will donate to three charities: Cradles to Crayons, Ronald McDonald House and Philabundance. McMahon Associates, Inc., headquartered in Fort Washington, PA, will share its winnings with the Erin Delia Moore Fund for Children with Cancer c/o The Philadelphia Foundation.

Winners will be honored at a reception and ceremony on March 26 at the Union League of Philadelphia.
