Fiscal Year 2025 Preliminary Budget Being Introduced In Abington
The budget proposal will be presented at the work session meeting of the Abington Township Board of Commissioners on Thursday night.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The preliminary 2025 municipal budget will be introduced and presented at Thursday night's Board of Commissioners work session meeting.
Township officials said there will be no proposed property, business, or earned income tax increase or an increase in refuse or sewer fees for the third straight year.

- A special meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m., Oct. 1, to consider adopting the Fiscal Year 2025 preliminary budget.
- A special meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m., Nov. 7, to consider adopting the budget and its ordinance.
The schedule is subject to change depending as a result of revisions by the Board of Commissioners and from public comment.
The proposed 2024 municipal budget did not include a millage increase.

The total 2024 budget for all operating and capital funds was $77,343,126. The budget's millage rate was 5.922 mills.
2022's budget was the last time a rate increase was imposed.
