Food Drive, Cookie With Cop Set For Saturday In Abington Twp.
Abington Township Police has one event to fill vehicles with food donations at two Giant Food Store locations in the township.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Police Department has a busy Saturday planned.
First off, the police department will hold a "Cookie with a Cop" function on the third floor of Macy's in the Willow Grove Park Mall from Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Residents are urged to come and eat a cookie and connect with police officers serving our community. The event is sponsored by CAPT.

Also on Saturday, the police department is teaming up for a food drive at two Giant Food Store locations in the township.
With donations slower during the summer at local food banks, the police department will join the McKinley Fire Companies, Second Alarmers Ambulance Service, The Abington Township Police Association, and Abington C.A.P.T. (Citizens and Police Together) for a “First Responders Food Drive” on Saturday.

The food drive hopes to fill First Responders' vehicles with food for the Giant locations in Roslyn and Huntingdon Valley.
The food drive is from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Roslyn Giant at 2350 Susquehanna Rd. and the Huntingdon Valley Giant at 737 Huntingdon Pike.
