Football Games, Outdoor Fall Sports Relocating In Cheltenham
The Cheltenham schools superintendent delivered an update to the community about the status of the high school stadium project.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Football games and fall sporting events are going to be relocated after the schools superintendent provided an update on the Cheltenham High School stadium project.
Cheltenham Schools Superintendent Brian W. Scriven informed the Cheltenham schools community on Thursday that while the CHS stadium complex project is progressing, it won't be completed to host fall sports events.
Scriven said that CSD Athletic Department has made changes to the schedules for football and other fall sports.

"Our priority remains providing a meaningful and spirited experience for our student-athletes and fans while stadium complex construction is underway," the superintendent said. "Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a path that allows for the Stadium Complex project to be completed before the end of the fall sports season."
He said the school district explored various options and prioritized all stadium construction requests by the contractors.

This week, most of the stone has been delivered inside of the track to support the turf; the retaining wall on the west side of the field is near completion; and a concrete slab is being poured to support the bleachers, Scriven said.
"We know how meaningful events like Homecoming and Senior Night are for our students, families, and community, and we deeply share in the disappointment of having to relocate games," the superintendent said. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to deliver a facility that will serve our community for many years to come."
These are the scheduling changes:
