Fourth Of July Parade Details Unveiled In Jenkintown
The Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor its annual Fourth of July parade on Saturday morning.
JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The borough’s annual Fourth of July parade takes place this weekend.
The Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor the parade that will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, with a rain date at the same time on Sunday.
The parade will feature local fire trucks, Color Guard, bands and decorated bikes for children.

Numerous community service groups including The Boy/Girl Scouts and J.Y.A. will also participate.
Being a safety-oriented organization, the fire department asks that any child riding a bike through the parade route under age 12 should wear a helmet.

Prizes will be awarded after the parade in the Town Square for the best decorated bikes. The awards will be divided into three categories: Strollers & Wagons, Tricycles and Bikes.
The parade route will begin on Leedom Street and Greenwood Avenue.
It will proceed North on Leedom Street to Hillside Avenue, West on Hillside Avenue to Walnut Street, South on Walnut Street to West Avenue and commence at the Town Square on Leedom Street.
