Fundraiser Renamed For Late Jenkintown Coach
The Jenkintown School District is honoring the memory of Jenkintown Drakes and American Legion Angels coach Sean Snyder.

JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA —The Jenkintown School District has renamed an annual fundraiser in memory of a coach.
The school district said that this year would have been the 7th annual Jenkintown Baseball Phillies Fundraiser.
But the fundraiser will instead honor the memory of Jenkintown Drakes and American Legion Angels coach Sean Snyder and be renamed the 1st annual Sean Snyder Phillies Fundraiser.

All money raised will go towards an annual award to be given to a qualifying senior baseball player at the senior athletic banquet.
Qualifications for the award will be determined by members of the Jenkintown staff and coaches.

Anyone looking for another opportunity to watch baseball while supporting the Jenkintown Baseball program can purchase a six-pack of general admission tickets for The Reading Phillies, the Double A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
The tickets can be used for any regular-season home game.
"This is a great stadium to catch a game —parking is free, the food is cheap, and the constant entertainment is a great way to keep the kids engaged," school officials said.
