On Feb. 28, six days after what would have been George Washington’s 279th birthday, Dean Malissa, portraying Washington, spoke to fifth graders at The Meadowbrook School about his life.
The fifth graders made Washington feel at home — dressing in colonial garb. The program ended the fifth graders’ studies on colonial America.
