
GIANT Food Stores today announced it has lowered prices on more than 1,000 key staple items throughout all of its stores as part of its continued commitment to lowering prices and helping its customers save money when they shop. The lower prices are called out with blue tags on items in the fresh, nonperishable and health and beauty care departments.
“Our customers can find thousands of blue tags throughout our stores which mean thousands of low prices to fit any budget,” said Tom Lenkevich, president. “It’s part of our commitment to our customers to help them save money, save time and eat well.”
As an example, GIANT has lowered the price of one of its most popular items, rotisserie chickens, from $5.99 to $4.99 every day. Some of the many lower prices highlighted in this week’s circular include Gatorade Thirst Quencher, which was $1.49 and is now 10 for $10 and Sargento Shredded Cheese, which was $3.29 and is now two for $6.

Customers can see the savings with GIANT’S Low Everyday Price signage and blue shelf tags. Lower price items are also highlighted in the weekly circular.
This latest price drop is part of GIANT’S ongoing strategy to help customers save time, save money, and eat well. As part of this strategy, many of GIANT’S produce and bakery departments have been transformed to deliver more local, fresh offerings, better prices, and better quality. The remainder of the stores will receive these transformations by the end of the year.
