Why go: Children ages 2-3 and their parents or caregivers can enjoy a storytime together.

Where/When: Romp N’ Roll, 2856 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove; March 3 from 1 to 4:30 p.m., and 6 to 7:30 p.m., with open gyms scheduled every weekday (see Web site)
Why go: Enjoy open gym at the ultimate indoor playground for children. The unstructured, parent-supervised indoor play sessions are great for letting kids blow off steam.
Pricing: $10, or free for children enrolled in Romp N’ Roll Programs.

Why go: The Abington YMCA offers a safe and secure place for teens to spend a Friday night. Activities for teens in seventh through 12th grades include basketball, swimming, double dutch and more.

Why go: The museum offers creative parent-child play sessions. An Instrument Safari workshop explores the wild world of musical instruments.

Why go: Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, get in the spirit with an evening of Irish culture and dance with the Timoney Irish Dancers! Learn Irish step and folk dancing. The event is for children in kindergarten through sixth grades.
