Greenwood Avenue Closing For Abington Trail Project

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Trail construction will close Greenwood Avenue starting Friday, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said trail construction will continue on Greenwood Avenue under a local safety improvement project.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • From 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 22, Greenwood Avenue will be closed and detoured between Washington Lane and Meetinghouse Road.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Meetinghouse Road, Route 73 (Township Line Road), and Route 611 (Old York Road).

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
