Gunshots Fired At 'Group of People' In Abington Twp.

Abington Township Police is investigating the incident at Crestmont Park on Saturday night.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Police Department is investigating gunshots fired "at a group of people" hanging around in a park on Saturday night.

Abington Township Police said that around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, several gunshots were fired at a group of people who were hanging out in Crestmont Park.

Police said that thankfully, no one was struck by the bullets.

There was damage, though, to the group's vehicles that was caused by the gunfire. Police recovered shell casings from the scene.

The suspects fled the park in what was reported to be a dark-colored sedan.

Police said that none of the individuals knew who would have targeted them for this attack.
