Police are offering residents some suggestions:

  • If you don't need to be out there, DON’T. The roads are a no-go zone for anything that isn't a snowplow or a sled.
  • That beautiful "let’s go for a drive" feeling? We recommend hitting pause for today. Your car, your rear bumper, and your peace of mind will thank you.
  • If you must go out, take it slow. Like, really slow. Think of a tortoise, not a hare.

Abington Police said officers are out on Monday, making sure that everyone stays safe.

"Stay home, stay safe, and maybe treat yourself to some cocoa," police said.

Public Works crews are keeping main and critical roads open and passable, followed by secondary roads. Crews will be plowing curb to curb. If a truck goes down the street to open it, it will be back to finish. Curb-to-curb plowing will not begin until the end of the storm.
