WYNDMOOR, PA — A school community is in mourning in Montgomery County after a high school student died over the weekend.
Blake Barklage, a senior at La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, died suddenly on Saturday night.
In a letter sent to parents and students, the school said that Barklage, the manager of the soccer team, suffered a "sudden cardiac event" after a game.

"His death followed that team’s hard-fought PCL victory, which Blake greatly enjoyed," the letter read.
Barklage was described as a good student who also enjoyed playing tennis and competing with the Mock Trial team. Just last May, Barklage was featured by the school for his volunteer work at Triest Hall with individuals with disabilities.
