Holy Redeemer Health System to be Presenting Sponsor of First Healthy Kids Running Series in Huntingdon Valley

Holy Redeemer Health System is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the inaugural Healthy Kids Running Series (HKRS) of Huntingdon Valley.

Open to children ages 2 to 13, the five-week program begins on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. at the Holy Redeemer Transformation Center, 521 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley. Each week, participants run courses ranging from a 50-yard dash to one mile and collect points for completed distances. At the conclusion of the series, the boy and girl with the most points in their respective age division will receive a trophy. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal.

HKRS is a non-profit youth running program for children. HKRS was created to provide kids with a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running. Their mission is to combat the increasing rate of childhood obesity in America with a running program that motivate children to live a healthy and active lifestyle, while providing a fun environment to improve their self esteem. HKRS encourages kids to adopt a “Get Up and Go!” attitude.
