House Fire Displaces Residents In Cheltenham

The LaMott Fire Company battled the blaze on Erlen Road early Sunday morning along with several mutual aid companies.

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents of a home on Erlen Road were displaced by a fire early Sunday morning, fire officials said.

Fire Chief Joe Stuckert said that the LaMott Fire Company responded to a house fire on the 1700 Block of Erlen Road in the LaMott section of Cheltenham Township at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

"This is a devastating loss for one of our neighbors, and we ask that you keep all those affected in your prayers," the fire chief said.

Fire officials did not provide any details about the fire or whether there were any injuries in the fire.

Mutual aid fire companies from Cheltenham, Abington, Springfield, and Jenkintown. Cheltenham EMS, the Cheltenham Police Department, multiple fire marshal offices, and the Red Cross also provided assistance, fire officials said.
