House Fire Under Investigation In Abington Township

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Two residents escaped their burning home on Northwood Avenue on Saturday night as Eastern Montgomery County fire crews battled the blaze for several hours, fire officials said.

The McKinley Fire Company and mutual aid companies responded at 7 p.m. Saturday to the house fire in the 300 block of Northwood Avenue.

Fire crews found heavy fire from the rear of the home and went into service with attack lines, making a quick knock on the fire.

Two residents escaped the home, fire officials said.

Crews were on the scene for several more hours assisting with the investigation.
