ICYMI: The 100 'Most Redneck' Communities In Pennsylvania
As the New Year approaches, we're taking another look at some of the controversial (and highly subjective) studies of 2015.

What does it mean to be a redneck?
That’s what RoadSnacks,net, the purveyor of every manner of ranking of ranking of Pennsylvania municipalities in recent weeks, tried to narrow down to a science with their latest list.
We now know the Keystone State’s snobbiest, best, and most dangerous communities. But “redneck” may take the listicle idea to an extreme.

Using a combination of scientific and not-so scientific measurements, the study authors created a list of 100 towns that best fit their subjective criteria.
Their methodology included the following:

- Number of high school graduates
- Number of dive bars per city
- Number of mobile home parks per capita
- Number of tobacco stores per city
- Number of guns and ammo stores per city
- Walmarts, Waffle Houses, Bass Pro Shops, and Dollar Generals nearby
Several communities from Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, and Delaware Counties make the list, even though they are at a disadvantage compared to the rest of the state, because the southeastern corner is the most populous.
Conshohocken led the way for the region with a 14th place ranking.
Some communities on the list seem to defy explanation. Ardmore, for example, at number 52, raised many eyebrows when this list was first published.
