Ideas Wanted For Jenkintown 150th Time Capsule

Jenkintown is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and wants residents to be a part of the borough's history.

JENKINTOWN, PA —Borough officials are asking residents to be a part of history.

As the borough commemorates its 150th anniversary, the Jenkintown Community Alliance invites residents to help shape the future by submitting items or ideas for our special Time Capsule!

This capsule will be sealed at a special ceremony in Town Square on Jenkintown's actual birthday on Dec. 8 and reopened in the future, giving future generations a glimpse into life in 2024.

What to Submit?

  • Flat items are preferred: letters, photos, and documents.
  • Small objects are accepted: items no larger than a Rubik's cube (2.25 x 2.25 inches).
