Jenkintown Food Cupboard Stamps Out Hunger

The community organization held the Postal Worker's Drive last Saturday in Jenkintown to collect food for its pantry.

JENKINTOWN, PA —They worked to stamp out hunger this past week.

The Jenkintown Food Cupboard held a Stamp Out Hunger Postal Worker's Drive to collect food for the needy.

"Postal staff and JFC volunteers alike were very excited about the generosity of the community as we worked together for an important cause," the Jenkintown Food Cupboard said in a Facebook post.

The Jenkintown Food Cupboard is now tasked with going through the collection to check expiration dates, and sort and shelve the food.

The non-profit food cupboard serves Montgomery County residents.

"There was a very positive energy as Lino and JFC volunteers met at the Jenkintown Post Office to collect food donated by the community to support the work of JFC," the Cupboard said. "We are all very grateful for residents who donated along with mail carriers who collected and helped load up food for transport to JFC and other food cupboards."
