Kerri-Anne Morrison Joins the Staff at Lakeside School
Providing lessons that are thorough and creative
North Wales, PA (October 17, 2016) – Kerri-Anne Morrison, from Bensalem, PA, has joined Lakeside as a Substitute Instructor for Lakeside School located in North Wales, PA.
“Kerri-Anne has confidence and command of the classroom,” says Peter Dillard, program director of Lakeside School. “She doesn’t label students as “good or bad” but sees them as people with life experiences.”
Morrison earned her bachelor of arts in Secondary Education with an English minor from Cairn University, Langhorne, PA.

“I love the model of education that Lakeside School provides,” says Morrison. “During my student teaching experience, while in college, I came across many students who would have benefited from a smaller setting with more one-on-one attention.”
During her spare time Kerri-Anne enjoys cardio kick boxing and is excited that students at Lakeside School will be able to participate in this activity during recreational time.

“I literally have just begun teaching at Lakeside School,” says Morrison “and I am looking forward to building genuine relationships with students and staff.”
Lakeside, a long-standing nonprofit serving the needs of over 2500 students annually throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, provides a range of therapeutic educational programs and services. Lakeside School is currently serving 30 school districts in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties. Lakeside’s approach empowers students to realize their life goals and to become positive citizens in their communities. The scope of its programs include educational and clinical services to meet a variety of needs including but not limited to: emotional and/or behavioral issues, addictions, school anxiety, truancy, depression, pregnancy and parenting and the impact of trauma.
In addition to its multiple campuses where students in grades 5-12 are enrolled, Lakeside also provides training for professionals including trauma-informed systems, anger/violence prevention and early childhood education. Lakeside also offers professional development for schools, both locally and around the world, who wish to develop trauma informed practices for the students they are working with.
