Ku Klux Klan Flyers Found Across Abington

The flyers were found on Sept. 11, making the incident even "more troubling," police Chief Molloy said.

ABINGTON, PA — Flyers promoting white pride and the Ku Klu Klan were found around Abington Township at some point on Tuesday, authorities said.

A resident in the Roslyn section of the township notified police of the flyers. Flyers had also been disbursed to numerous other homes in that area, police said.

The incident is under investigation.

"While all of us know that such speech is protected under the 1st Amendment, the Abington Police Department strongly condemns this message and any speech that promotes the KKK, anti-Semitic rhetoric, or one race over the other," Molloy added in his statement. "As a community, we take pride in the work that we do to bring people of all races, religions, sexual orientation and other backgrounds together, and we will continue to reject those on the fringe who seek to promote hatred and divide us."

Just over a year ago, similar flyers were found plastered around nearby Upper Dublin. It's also plagued other communities in Bucks and Montgomery county recently.
