Lanes Closing On 2 Abington Roads Overnight This Week: PennDOT

Line striping work will force PennDOT crews to close lanes on two roads in Abington Township overnight this week.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two roads in Abington Township will have overnight lane closures this week due to line striping work, PennDOT said.

Portions of Routes 611 and 232 in Abington will have lane closures through Friday this week.

Closures will be in place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

A lane closure is planned on Route 611 (Easton Road/York Road/Old York Road) between County Line Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Jenkintown Borough, Cheltenham, Montgomery, Abington, Upper Moreland, and Horsham townships.

And, a moving lane closure is planned on Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and the Bucks County line in Rockledge and Bryn Athyn boroughs and Abington and Lower Moreland townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur.
