Lee's Hoagie House Donates Sports Equipment to College Settlement Camps

ABINGTON, PA – The two Lee’s Hoagie Houses of Abington and Horsham spent the month of April collecting gently used sports equipment from their patrons for The College Settlement and Kuhn Day Camps of Horsham. Lee’s owner Jon Waxman has turned over in excess of five bins full of usable sports gear – everything from golf clubs to frisbees – and a WalMart gift card to purchase new equipment thanks to a memorabilia appraisal event also run at Lee’s Horsham restaurant in April.

All of the items will be used by children at the College Settlement and Kuhn’s summer day and resident camps – located on 235 acres in Horsham. The mission of the non-profit is to provide fun-filled camping experiences to young people from the five county Philadelphia area and particularly those from low-income families. For more information about the camp visit www.collegesettlement.org or call Jan Finnegan at 215-542-7974.
