Line Striping Work Impacting Traffic On 2 Abington Township Roads

Overnight work will force moving lane closures on two busy roads in Abington Township next week, according to PennDOT.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Line striping work will impact traffic on two road in Abington Township next week, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said moving lane closures will be in place on Route 611 (Easton Road/York Road/Old York Road) and Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) in Abington.

Work is set to begin Sunday and last through Friday.

Crews will be working overnight, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., which is when the closrues will be in effect.

Route 611 will have closures between County Line Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Jenkintown Borough, Cheltenham, Montgomery, Abington, Upper Moreland, and Horsham townships; and

Route 232's closures will be between the Philadelphia County line and the Bucks County line in Rockledge and Bryn Athyn boroughs and Abington and Lower Moreland townships.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.
