Local Car Dealer Spreads the Warmth

Donating Coats to Local Charity

Jenkintown— 11.03.15For nearly 40 years, Glanzmann Subaru has been selling cars and providing exceptional service to Jenkintown and the surrounding communities. But, what many don’t know is that owner and founder, Ray Glanzmann, has also been taking care of the neighbors.

Ray has generously and quietly been donating new children’s winter coats to The Breathing Room Foundation for the last few years. In fact, when you add in the 180 coats Ray provided this year, his total donations add up to well over 500 coats. These coats go to children whose families are struggling with the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis. Ray is making sure the children are staying warm and healthy in the winter months through his generosity.

“Without Ray’s help, The Breathing Room Foundation would not be able to fulfill all the requests we receive from cancer patients to assist them in keeping their children outfitted for the winter,” commented Eileen Carissimi, Volunteer Coordinator for The Breathing Room Foundation.

The Breathing Room Foundation

The Breathing Room Foundation is best characterized as neighbors helping neighbors impacted by cancer. Established in 1997, the Breathing Room Foundation has grown from supporting seven families the first year to serving 628 new families in 2014. Our mission is to provide care and support to families affected by cancer. We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of a family’s life: emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial. We strive to provide a family with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of “breathing room” from their daily struggle against cancer. It is our hope that this will allow them to concentrate all of their efforts towards regaining their physical health. www.breathingroomfoundation.org
